Focus Features and Wes Anderson' forthcoming romantic comedy-drama Asteroid City has officially been given an R-rating.
Asteroid City
is written and directed by Wes Anderson. The ensemble cast will include long-time Wes Anderson collaborators, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Bryan Cranston, Jeffrey Wright, Liev Schreiber, Tony Revolori, Jeff Goldblum, and Jack Ryan. It will also feature some new A-list collaborators Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Maya Hawke, Sophia Lillis, and more. The project is being produced by Jeremy Dawson and Steven Rales.
“It tells the story of a fictional American desert town circa 1955 and its Junior Stargazer convention, which brings together students and parents from across the country for scholarly competition, rest/recreation, comedy, drama, romance, and more,” reads the official synopsis.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
