If the Philadelphia Phillies had forced a Game 7 on Sunday, the Houston Astros' Alex Bregman would have been unavailable. Here's why.

Bregman finished the game at third base, but his absence in a Game 7 would have been problematic for the Astros. The Astros were already without the services of first baseman Yuli Gurriel, who was replaced on the active roster Saturday because of a knee injury he suffered in Game 5.

Bregman had a solid postseason hitting .294 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 13 postseason games. In the World Series, he had three doubles, four walks and drove in four runs.
