The 6-foot, 180-pound Thompson Warriors' QB Trent Seaborn — a 9th-grader — already has major college offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon and Wisconsin among other schools.
“He has God-given talent,” Freeman said. “It’s been crazy to watch him grow. Now, he’s developed into a really good quarterback. He’s also a great young man, very mature for his years.”
The 6-foot, 180-pound Seaborn already has major college offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Maryland, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oregon and Wisconsin among other schools.Against Auburn High a year ago in Auburn’s Jordan-Hare Stadium, he threw five touchdown passes in a 49-24 win. “His composure is great on the field,” Freeman said. “He understands at a young age what we are trying to do, and he understands he is not going to be perfect. He can play the next play and not get hung up on the previous one.
“Today, he overthrew two or three passes in a row, but when we had to have it on third down, he made another great throw. No one will be 100 out of 100. The great thing is he can put the last play behind him whether it is a perfectly thrown pass or one that is overthrown. It’s uncanny.”“His dad is 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-3. Trent is 6-foot right now,” Freeman said. “I think he has at least one more growing spurt left. If he gets to 6-3, the sky is the limit for him.
