Modesti shares his recent experience from the L.A. Memorial Coliseum as the USC Trojans’ opened the football season with a big win over Rice last weekend. He’ll also attend the Rams’ home opener at SoFi Stadium on Thursday. During his career as a beat writer, Modesti has covered the Rams and Dodgers, but he’s also written columns during the Shaq-Kobe Lakers era, the Angels’ 2002 World Series title run and the Trojans’ successful run under Pete Carroll.
