Aurora chasers could be in for a treat as solar activity ramps up.
"It is the earliest our webcam has captured the auroras,"Chad Blakley, founder of the aurora travel tour company, told Space.com.
"I looked back through our archives, which date back more than 15 years, and this is the earliest 'first of the aurora of the season' we have on record. The previous record was August 20th of 2013, so we beat it by a single day!"
