Austin celebrates Juneteenth with parade and cultural festival at Rosewood Park
Juneteenth , also known as "Emancipation Day," is the oldest known African American celebration commemorating the end of slavery.
The parade will commence at 10 AM at the corner of East M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard and Salina Street and go to Rosewood Park.Participants and spectators can look forward to a lively procession filled with colorful floats, marching bands, and community organizations celebrating African American culture and heritage.
