Officers made entry and found the victim dead. Sgt. Rod Mauldin said the injuries are consistent with a homicide, but they aren’t yet saying how he was killed. Coroner’s officials said it was unclear when Garrick was fatally injured but he was officially pronounced dead at 9:41 a.m.“We do believe it was possibly somebody that knew the victim,” Mauldin said.
