Many have flocked to White Rock Lake to get a glimpse of the birds, but city officials and conservationists want people to give them space.
The eagles have landed at White Rock Lake — a Dallas pit stop for predatory birds.Now the city wants people to give the young couple some privacy. A fence is being erected to stave off the paparazzi-like interest.
Dallas resident Ben Sandifer, who has been a master birder for almost two decades, said bald eagle sightings are uncommon — but not a rarity around White Rock Lake. City officials also have canceled soccer and rugby games at the field near the nest and discourage people from walking or exercising there because it can stress the eagles.
