Banko Brown: Attorney General takes up review of case spurned by DA Jenkins

Protestors outside City Hall this afternoon calling for charges to be brought against the security guard who shot and killed Banko Brown.

Bonta is reviewing the case under the so-called abuse of discretion standard, which occurs when an “absurd” ruling is made.“We feel triumphant. We feel hopeful,” said Barbara Brown, Banko Brown’s stepmother, on the AG’s decision. “I know what my God can do. I believe Anthony will be rebooked and charged for the murder of Banko Brown. We won’t stop fighting for justice for Banko Brown.”
