Batman just revealed a new secret way to stop the Green Lantern, as the ring-wielding vampire attacks him in DC vs. Vampires 5. Bruce has always hated the Corps, so it's no surprise he has a weapon ready to overpower them.
The Green Lantern has become a vampire and in order to stop him, Batman hit the former hero with his biggest weakness: the color yellow. In DC vs. Vampires #5 by DC Comics, the vampire Green Lantern tries to take out Batman and Green Arrow, leading the Dark Knight to unleash a new secret attack that neutralizes Hal Jordan's powers and ring.
Hal Jordan is the main antagonist in the new DC vs. Vampires limited series, as the Green Lantern has turned a handful of his fellow heroes into bloodsucking monsters while killing others for getting too close. Not only has Green Lantern taken out members of the Justice League, but he's convinced the remaining members that Batman is secretly a vampire and can't be trusted.
Batman reveals his secret protocol against the Green Lantern is a"synthetic rapid-degrading fine silica powder in 13-0858 yellow." Considering Hal Jordan's weakness is yellow and his ring cannot affect anything in that color, the attack manages to subdue him temporarily. Meanwhile, Green Arrow questions Batman's attack, as he comments he feels like the yellow silica power"might give" him cancer.
Batman has been incredibly creative in stopping the Green Lantern in the past, even painting an entire room yellow to attack his weakness in the past. Using yellow synthetic rapid-degrading fine silica powder to stop the hero is a great attack that Batman secretly had ready in case he needed it. However, it's unlikely Batman thought he would have to use it against a vampire version of Green Lantern - although it came in clutch for the Dark Knight. DC vs.
