Washington-Fremont tennis player Cyrus Ahmad is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for March 20-25 after he received 40.22% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.
Archbishop Mitty baseball player Ronan Gilmore finished second and Sequoia baseball player Ryan Mendez took third.Ahmad, a senior, ended last week undefeated on the season, with his biggest victory coming against the top-ranked under-16 player nationally, Krish Gupta of Mission San Jose, 6-3, 6-0.
