SAN FRANCISCO – Four eastbound lanes of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge were blocked Tuesday after a big-rig overturned, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The big-rig overturned just east of the 1st Street on-ramp, the CHP said in a social media post just after 4:30 p.m..“Please do no attempt to cross the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge at this time,” the agency said in a follow-up post. “There is not sufficient clearance for any trucks to pass the overturned truck it will only create further congestion.”All trucks are being asked to exit I-80 e/b, @ 4th St. Please do not attempt to cross the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge at this time.
