According to charging documents, Holland is suspected of shooting Roberts during a drug deal on the residential street. It's unclear what motive Holland may have had for the shooting, or if the two men knew each other before they met. Police received an anonymous phone tip days after the shooting identifying Holland as a suspect, according to a police complaint. Police found cellphone messages between Holland and Roberts on the dead man's cellphone and matched Holland's truck to one that was seen on security camera video of the shooting, according to the complaint.
