Alfred was THE Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight is a title that everyone knows is held by Batman, but long before Bruce Wayne took up the cowl, another person trained to be the first Dark Knight. Surprisingly, that person was none other than Alfred Pennyworth, the Wayne Family's trusted butler.
Alfred Spent Years As The Dark Knight While Batman and Alfred are looking for an item called the Genesis Engine, Batman continually runs into a dangerous enemy, clad in black armor, who is capable of keeping up with Batman's every move. While Batman has never seen this new villain before, it turns out that Alfred has. Alfred quickly recognizes this villain as the Dark Knight, a product of a secret British government program to make the perfect soldier, run by the secretive Briar.
