"I've always been at the school ahead of her trying to experience it first, going through middle school and high school," Zain said."Having her here brings it on another level, just makes it more fun. It feels less of a practice where I'm by myself and more like a family run, where we just go for an easy run from the house. It makes it a lot more enjoyable."
Sophia's high school career is off to an impressive start, including a sweep of three events at the district championships. She won the 800 in 2 minutes, 18.92 seconds, as well as victories in the 1,600 and 3,200 .
