Mark Stevens, also known as “Geepaw” to the students at Encino Park Elementary has volunteered his time for eight years. He got his nickname because he is everyone’s grandpa at Encino Park. “Geepaw” has served our country for 20 years. He was in the Air Force as an aircraft loadmaster and flew around in a C-141. He is also an expert in many different cuisines as he worked in many different dining halls. When the kids saw him serving lunch, many of them jumped with joy chanting “Geepaw! Geepaw! Geepaw!”

North East ISD praised Stevens for his many years of serving our county and for bringing a smile to the children’s faces.
