Sanders more than doubled Biden's support among Texas' large constituency of Latino Democrats and Latino independents who lean toward the Democratic Party, amassing 42 percent versus Biden's 18 percent.
Sunday shows him with a double-digit lead over Biden and the rest of the Democratic candidates in the Lone Star state.
Biden's support among Texas' Hispanic voters, white voters and African-American voters has fallen significantly among each Democratic Party voter demographic. Last month's UT-Tyler poll showed Bloomberg as a distant fourth with only 12 percent of support, but that number has nearly doubled to place him ahead of the former vice president.
Sanders, who was holding a San Antonio, Texas rally when he learned the results of his landslide victory in the Nevada caucuses last week, announced Sunday his campaign had their best fundraising month of the entire 2020 election season. The Sanders campaign raised more than $46 million in February from approximately 2.2 million separate donations. In total, Sanders has pulled in $167 million, which is far ahead of every other Democratic presidential candidate.
