Queen Bey’s ‘Act II: Cowboy Carter’ album rides in at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart,This achievement comes more than a month after the 42-year-old superstar became the first Black woman to chart No. 1 with a single.that ‘Cowboy Carter’ also claims the biggest week for a country album in 2024, earning 407,000 units. It’s also the largest debut since Taylor Swift ’s Speak Now topped the charts in 2023.
Along with breaking records in the country genre, she also bounced to No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it her eighth No. 1 on the chart. Beyoncé previously said her new album was not a country album, but a ‘Beyonce’ album. The project was born from an experience where she didn’t feel welcomed., Beyonce said the album has been “over five years in the making” and was “born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed… and it was very clear that I wasn’t.
