A man was riding a bicycle along the shoulder of the road when a female driver's vehicle struck him, according to Phoenix police. The unidentified man was pronounced dead on scene.The fatal collision caused Buckeye Road to be closed in both directions between 59th Avenue and 63rd Avenue, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. It was expected to reopen around noon.
