Bicyclist killed in wrong-way crash on Westside

A bicyclist is dead after an early morning crash on Normandy Blvd.

Around 3:55 a.m. the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a fatal crash at the intersection of Normandy Blvd. and Ellis Road.

A truck was driving westbound and tried to to evade the bicyclist, but he was unsuccessful and ended up crashing with the bicycle.The driver of the truck and the passenger remained at the scene and are cooperating with the police.There was fog in the area during the time of the crash.
