The bill requires the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to declassify all information relating to links between China's Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origin of COVID — releasing all data within 90 days of the bill being signed into law.

President Biden on Monday signed a bill into law that directs the federal government to declassify certain information about the origin of the coronavirus, three years after the virus caused a global pandemic that has killed millions of people worldwide.

The bill requires the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to declassify all information relating to potential links between China's Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origin of the coronavirus, with redactions only to prevent harm to national security. Biden noted that he had directed the intelligence community in 2021, shortly after he took office, to "use every tool at its disposal" to investigate the origin of the coronavirus and that the work is ongoing.
