the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film, live for the first time at the Brit Awards 2020 — and the song’s live debut was as grand as you might expect.which was held in London’s O2 Arena, clad in a shimmering black ensemble. The singer put on a stripped-down performance of the slow track, and her vocals have us and the public in attendance in awe.
From the moment Billie uttered her first line, words of encouragement came roaring from the audience. Even more so in the second half, when her trademark honeyed murmur gave way to a piercing falsetto., leading the piano. But the sibling duo wasn’t alone this time. Legendary film composer Hans Zimmer, who worked together with Billie and Finneas on the track, and renowned guitarist Johnny Marr were also present on the stage. As well as a live orchestra because, you know, it’s all casual.
“No Time To Die” is the title track for the new Bond film hitting theaters on April 10, which will also be titledThe song’s live debut comes not even a week after its official release on February 14.about how the collaborative track came about, praising Zimmer for his involvement. “We went through a lot of different versions,” the singer revealed. “We all worked really hard, Hans was incredibly easy to work with and he's so funny. It was a really good, collaborative experience.
During the red carpet, Marr also took the time to praise Billie and Finneas’ work. “When I heard the song, I thought ‘this is fantastic’. It’s very brave, being very minimalist. It’s her sound, and then the trick was to Bond-ify it,” hesaid. “It was already a great song, but from a sound point of view, to Bond-ify it without doing the obvious. It’s really easy to be bombastic, so it was a case of less is more, and making it work with the film.
But the killer performance wasn’t Billie’s only win for the night — she also received the trophy for International Female Solo Artist.
