A third-round selection in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Bills continued believing in Knox despite a less-than-impressive start to his career. Knox was somewhat of an afterthought in Buffalo’s offense across his first two campaigns, recording just 676 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Knox’s future was especially in doubt following a 2020 campaign that saw the Brentwood, Tennessee native record just 288 yards.

Knox’s evolution as a player included him getting past some drop issues that plagued his first two seasons. Knox was a completely different player in 2021 as opposed to the difficult 2020 he experienced. Knox’s reception percentage when targeted went from a middling 58.6% to an efficient 70.8%. Knox’s contested-catch rate increased from 33.3% to 53.8%. Knox led the league in passer rating when targeted . Allen certainly appreciates the reliability.
