Black Panther: Wakanda Forever concept art shows off an alternate design idea for a female Talokan warrior. After the first film was a critical and commercial smash hit, director Ryan Coogler returns to helm the sequel, which serves as a conclusion to Phase 4 of the MCU. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever follows Shuri and Ramonda as they attempt to lead the nation of Wakanda after T'Challa's death while dealing with the arrival of Namor .
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Talokan in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is heavily inspired by ancient Aztec and Mayan cultures and now, new concept art from artist Adi Granov on Instagram further explores these inspirations, revealing an alternate look for one of the city's female warriors. The alternate look bridges the gap between the ancient elements of Mexican culture and Talokan's status as a highly-advanced nation.
Unfortunately, much like with the Hulk, Universal owns the distribution rights for Namor, meaning the character is unlikely to be getting his own solo film anytime soon. If he doesn't appear in Thunderbolts, which, frankly, is probably the case considering how many characters that movie already has to juggle, then Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars remain the two projects most likely to feature Namor's return.
Without a solo film, Talokan is, unfortunately, not likely to be explored in much more detail than it was in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Considering how positively Namor and his kingdom have been received, however, fans can rest assured that they haven't seen the last of either of them just yet.
