This week, Saskatoon added Chiasson from the Wheaties in exchange for a 2023 first-round pick and two second-round picks . For Blades general manager Colin Priestner, it was a flashback to 2018. And he’s one of four Brandon Wheat Kings who helped save a life prior to Christmas when they prevented a suicide jump off a bridge.
“The game obviously didn’t fall our way, but to be here and to step into the lineup quickly, it was pretty cool and definitely something I’m grateful for and excited with moving forward,” said Chiasson, who arrived in Saskatoon late Tuesday night and was already playing Wednesday.
