So much so that the X5 is designed to look more sober and posh-looking, with new slim headlights and a revised bumper set. You can even specify an illuminated kidney grille set here. The X6, meanwhile, has been shaped with more aggression, tailored with M Sport bodykits and two-tone colour palettes. Inside, both cars benefits from some tech upgrades, including more crystal detailing and the brand’s curved screen.
BMW’s efforts to differentiate the X5 and X6 continue with its engine range – even if it’s just some slight changes. All X5 and X6 versions have all-wheel drive, and start off with the xDrive30d – a straight-six diesel making 294bhp and good for a 6.1sec 0-62mph time. The range tops out with the M60i for both cars, using a 4.4-litre V8 that develops 523bhp and sprints to 62mph in 4.3 seconds.
