An investigation is underway after a female was found dead in the Talladega National Forest. The discovery was made about 4 p.m. Saturday, about one mile from Blue Hole waterfall, Talladega police Lt. Dennis McDaniel said Tuesday.

The discovery was made about 4 p.m. Saturday, about one mile from Blue Hole waterfall, Talladega police Lt. Dennis McDaniel said Tuesday.The female has not yet been identified. Her body was taken the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery.Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 256-362-4508.
