The bomb threat was one of multiple recently made in the Kennett Consolidated School District, but officials say the threats are not connected.

In an earlier notice to families, KCSD told parents that all students and staff were accounted for and that families should leave the high school’s phone lines clear and avoid campus. Students were dismissed by 12 p.m., which required the closure of East South Street so school buses could stage and students could board safely, police said.Students and their families were asked to return to the school Thursday evening to retrieve any remaining personal belongings.
“As always, we remind our community to stay vigilant,” police said in a news release. Anyone with questions were directed to the KCSD Communications Specialist Nikki Laws atThe investigation into the bomb threat is open “with person of interest” and police said they believe the threat is not connected to recent threats in the area or Chester County.
