CONGRATS TO LOCAL AWARD WINNER, BONG JOON HO! Oscars
's Bong and Han had some stiff competition. So when they took the stage to accept the award presented by Diane Keaton and Keanu Reeves, it was clear just how excited the two were, especially considering it's their first Oscar.
"I thank all the actors who are here with me today for bringing this film to life," Bong said through a translator. "We never write to represent our countries, but this is very first Oscar to South Korea." The director then took a step away from the microphone to let Han give a thank you speech. However, audience members were quick to notice Bong in the background giggling while holding the golden Oscar figure.
