Raitt's subsequent fall tour opens Sept. 30 in Phoenix and wraps up Nov. 19 in Florida. Her new album, 'Just Like That...,' is due in the spring
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples are teaming up for a 2022 summer tour that will open July 19 in Cincinnati and conclude Sept. 27 in San Diego at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
“To celebrate finally being able to play live concerts again by reuniting with my dear friend and inspiration, the great Mavis Staples, is a thrill words can’t really express,” Raitt said in a statement released Tuesday morning.“Mavis and her band are at the top of their game and I know they feel the same about us.
Tickets for the general public for Raitt and Staples’ summer tour, including their Sept. 27 San Diego concert, go on sale at 10 a.m. local time Friday at ticketmaster.com. A pre-sale for Raitt fan club members begins at 10 a.m. local time Wednesday.
