One young Lakers fan may want his 30 seconds of fame back.
Cooper, 13, had a chance to compete in an on-court contest during a time out at Crypto.com Arena on Friday night during“born ready” for this moment, and things got interesting.
Cooper was given 30 seconds to accumulate 10 points by making baskets from designated spots on the court to win a prize. But he curiously decided to take just one shot – a 3-pointer that was worth 10 points. A layup was worth one and a free throw would have been worth three.The young fan pumped up the crowd during the majority of his time on the court.TwitterThe Junior Laker put the ball on the ground, looked at the host and began waving his arms in the air to get the fans into it.
He even did the Hulk Hogan ear-to-the-crowd gesture as the host tried to subtly remind him he should be trying to score points. Cooper finally shot with two seconds remaining on the clock and saw his 3-pointer hit off the back of the rim.
