Boy meets… Congress? Boy Meets World star Ben Savage has officially announced his candidacy to represent California’s District 30 in Congress.
announcing his campaign. “I’m running for Congress because it’s time to restore faith in government by offering reasonable, innovative and compassionate solutions to our country’s most pressing issues.", Ben Savage followed his brother's footsteps into child acting, making his film debut in his elder brother's moviein 1989. Savage would soon make a name for himself starring as Cory Matthews on the popular ABC coming-of-age sitcomfrom 1993 to 2000.
This is not the former child actor's first foray into politics. In November, Savage ran for one of three seats on West Hollywood’s City Council and lost, earning less than 7 percent of the votes according to the Los Angeles County Registrar’s office. Despite the loss, Savage has now set his sights higher, running to replace Democratic Congressman
