The fire was reported around 3 p.m. Sunday near the area of East Fork and Glendora Mountain roads, according to the Angeles National Forest.

Firefighters are battling a brush fire that broke out in San Gabriel Canyon Sunday, prompting an evacuation and road closures, Los Angeles County Fire authorities said. The fire, called the "Bridge Fire," was reported around 3 p.m. Sunday near the area of East Fork and Glendora Mountain roads. As of Monday morning, the fire had burned 1,255 acres and is 0% contained.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said an evacuation order is in place for the East Fork communities of Camp Williams Resort and the adjacent river community.An evacuation center has been set up by the American Red Cross at the Hacienda Heights Community Center, located at 1234 Valencia Avenue. For more information, call 1-800-733-2767.The following road closures are in effect:No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
