The Brighton Burn, taking place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, is an opportunity for athletes of all ages and abilities to participate in a competitive setting and support each other before the spring competitive season on the water. , a community event fundraiser bringing in local community organizations, including Brickyard Team, CrossFit, Brighton Rowing, other local youth teams of Fairport, Pittsford, Mercy, and McQuaid.
Now in its second year, The Brighton Burn is an opportunity for athletes of all ages and abilities to participate in a competitive setting and support each other before the spring competitive season on the water. “Rowing machines are set up in a line connected to the race computer,” said Brighton Crew Coach, Lucas Ogden. “There is a seat behind each athlete if they would like a coxswain or coach helping direct them during the race. Races are separated into categories, so athletes are against appropriate competition.”
