British Virgin Islands Premier Andrew Fahie was arrested in Florida Thursday on drug-trafficking and money-laundering charges, U.S. authorities said

Andrew Fahie was allegedly involved in scheme with two others, wanted $500,000 upfront as part of operation, according to criminal complaintGovernment of the Virgin Islands.

Mr. Fahie was arrested at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, according to a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Two others were also arrested on charges of conspiracy to import at least five milligrams of cocaine and conspiracy to launder money, authorities said.
