Britney Spears will not be charged after allegedly slapping a phone out of her housekeeper's hand.
will not be charged with misdemeanor battery, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office announced on Wednesday.the singer of slapping a phone out of her hand on August 16 while they were discussing the care of Spears’s dogs. A spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office explained that they responded to a call from Spears’s home but upon arriving found the employee had already left to file a complaint at a local station.
Meanwhile, the deputies asked Spears for comment, but “she wouldn’t speak with them.” A few days later Spears posted a kitschy image of a woman with her back against the door,“[I]nsufficient evidence that a crime had occurred and the lack of injury to the housekeeper or significant damage to the phone” led the D.A.’s office not to press charges.
