A promoter claims Brookside police took his Rolex and Jeep.
The latest lawsuit filed against the town of Brookside claims police there stopped an entertainment promoter on his way to Atlanta, took his money, Rolex, cash, Gucci bags and the Jeep he was driving, and never returned them -- even though he searched for the vehicle for two years.
Lawyer Bill Dawson argues the car was searched without probable cause. Wright was later told the car was listed as stolen, and he was taken to Brookside Jail. Court records show he was charged with three traffic offenses, four misdemeanors and the felony charge of receiving stolen property – the car he said he bought in Mississippi.

He tried for two years, but never got an answer.“He was to promote entertainment in Atlanta, but that was canceled by his arrest and incarceration,” the suit claims. “Also, being deprived of his funds impaired his ability to travel and work.
