The total RNA was reverse-transcribed and cDNAs were used for PCR and qPCR analyses using the primers listed in Supplementary Table. Samples were stored at −20 °C and processed for qPCR using the ABI Prism 7500 System .

For patients with cancer, an 18-year-old female patient with Hodgkin’s lymphoma participated in a pilot study during the intervals of the fifth cycle of combination chemotherapy of adriamycin, bleomycin, vinblastine and dacarbazine for 5 cycles. The cold ambient temperature was approximately 22 °C regulated by air-conditioning for 1 week and the patient wore light clothing. The patient fasted overnight before PET–CT examination.
