Cleveland llegó el domingo a un acuerdo de un año con Tyler Huntley, exquarterback de los Ravens, para añadir otro jugador experimentado que les dará más profundidad y protección detrás de Deshaun Watson.
La semana pasada el equipo firmó a la primera selección del draft del 2015, Jameis Winston como suplente de Watson, quien está rehabilitándose en California desde su cirugía en noviembre. Flacco continúa sin ser firmado. Winston, Thompson-Robinson y Huntley ahora estarán agrupados detrás de Watson, que solo ha tenido 12 titularidades desde que firmó con Cleveland el contrato valorado en 230 millones de dólares en 2022.
