BREAKING: Jadeveon Clowney has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game after his comments to clevelanddotcom.
In the unlikely event that the Browns and Clowney reconcile, Garrett said things would have to change.
After the game, Clowney voiced his frustrations and admitted he was being defiant during the game. The incident coincided with a postgame shouting match in the locker room, but it’s unknown if Clowney was involved. A source said it the ruckus emanated from the secondary area, and that Garrett calmed them down.
“No, because he hasn’t had the production he had last year,” Kiffin said. “Again, it was a frustrating season for all of us – everybody in this organization, defensively and for him. Obviously, he didn’t have the production he had last year so he’s frustrated. The way he went about it I don’t agree with, but we are here today dealing with it.”“I’ll just say I addressed the room that I thought he handled it the wrong way as a man,” Kiffin said.
But Kiffin said Clowney’s remarks were untimely, because the 7-9 Browns rallied to knock the Commanders out of playoff contention last week, and are gearing up to do the same Sunday in Pittsburgh against the 8-8 Steelers.
