Buc-ee’s highly anticipated expansion to Amarillo has hit a roadblock because the competing travel center company it is supposed to buy the land from is entangled in a possible land dispute.

’s has yet to buy the land located near Interstate 40 and Airport Road in Amarillo, said Jeff Nadala, the company’s general counsel.

Buc-ee’s intends to purchase about 20 acres of undeveloped land for its new store from Attebury Farm, LLC, Amarillo TV station According to the concept plan submitted by Buc-ee’s as part of the economic development agreement with Amarillo, the property consists of undeveloped land and a road that leads to SpeedCo.
