Eleven bars and restaurants in Buckeye Lake came together on Saturday to raise money for the victims of the Indian Lake tornado.
BUCKEYE LAKE, Ohio — The North/West Shore bar hop started out as an idea to bring the Buckeye Lake community together. Then, tragedy hit Indian Lake and the organizers decided to raise money for another lake community.
Bars at Buckeye Lake bought beer from an Indian Lake brewery to sell and 100% of the proceeds go to those affected by the tornado. They also sold raffle tickets for a prize that has everything from gift cards to clothes. “It’s a lake thing. It’s a lake community. The lakes come together. Hopefully if it happened here, they would do the same for us,” said Tracy Pack, bartender at The Barrell Bar.
