After a month in business near Roosevelt Row, this highly anticipated downtown Phoenix Mexican restaurant is permanently closing. Here's what we know.

Ay, Chabela will permanently close after a final service on Sunday, Nov. 13.

Before rebranding as Ay, Chabela, brothers Andrew and Nick Renteria ran the popular Valley food truck Chubasco Tacos. In October, they soft opened their first brick and mortar in the downtown space that formerly was home to wine bar Chez Gregory. The Mexican restaurant was supposed to celebrate its grand opening this week, but in an Instagram post on Wednesday they wrote,"we'll roll with it and call it our Grand Closing.""Gotta pull up one last time for my favorite tacos in the city," wrote one Instagram user.

Another commenter wrote,"I could cry... you guys really carved out a solid chapter of food for me this year." In the post, the brothers thanked those who supported the restaurant while it was open, writing,"There's not really much to say other than we gave it our best shot. Nick and I will be taking a much needed break from business and focusing on our overall health and wellness."
