The program allowed students to explore Iceland through an examination of its people and natural history. Special attention was given to Iceland’s unique geological setting and commitment to sustainability.
Updated: Jul. 07, 2022, 11:46 a.m. |Among the geological, environmental and cultural sites of significance observed by Baldwin Wallace University students in Iceland was the Gullfoss Waterfall. BRUNSWICK, Ohio -- Clay Kolke and Mike Ackerman were among 23 students who participated in Baldwin Wallace University’s faculty-led study abroad program in Iceland during the spring 2022 semester.
Students gained first-hand knowledge of these topics through day trips to various sites of geological, environmental and cultural significance, including Gullfoss Waterfall. They included Sarah Lyons of Hinckley, a graduate of Highland High School; Kat Martin of Brunswick, a graduate of Brunswick High School majoring in criminal justice; and Maddie Roschival of Valley City, a graduate of Buckeye Senior High School majoring in accounting.Lily Katherine Oda named to University of Utah’s Spring 2022 Dean’s List. Oda, whose major is English, was among more than 8,900 students named to the Spring 2022 Dean’s List.
Sierra Moran of Valley City, majoring in Middle Childhood - Language Arts/Science; Riley Papa of Brunswick, majoring in Criminal Justice; McKenzie Price of Brunswick, majoring in Criminal Justice; and Elizabeth Williams of Brunswick, majoring in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
