A free agent at year's end, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Byron Pringle had the first multiple touchdown game of his NFL career.

An undrafted free agent out of Kansas State in 2018 who earned a Super Bowl LIV ring with the Chiefs and then caught Mahomes’ first pass of Super Bowl LV, Pringle is a success story and likely proving himself worthy of a more lucrative contract next season. Running back Derrick Gore, who was originally signed by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2019, bounced around in the NFL before excelling in the preseason for the Chiefs.
Emphasizing running backs Gore and Darrel Williams was a sound strategy. Not only was Mahomes without Kelce, who has caught 83 passes this year, but the Steelers entered the game allowing the second most rushing yards in the NFL.
