BERKELEY — For the game’s first 18 minutes, Idaho looked like a team auditioning for an invitation to the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Cal now prepares to begin its final Pac-12 season next Saturday on the road against No. 8 Washington. A year from now, the Bears will play their conference ball in the ACC. Idaho, which crushed FBS foe Nevada 33-6 on the road a week ago, was hoping to become the first FCS team since 2015 to beat two FBS teams in the same season.
