“At the conclusion of each season, we review our coaching staff in anticipation for the coming year, Stepenosky wrote. “We have high standards for all of our coaches and place a specific emphasis on player safety, character, and sportsmanship. Most importantly, we look for coaches that promote the academic success, physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our student athletes.
The relationship between Laolagi and Dr. Stepenosky, according to Laolagi, had been unsettling for her for several months.
