Yosemite, its famous granite walls strewn with waterfalls, has long been the poster child for the U.S. national park system in California. But another park in the Golden State sees a ton more visitors — and it's actually right here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Golden Gate National Recreation Area spans more than 60 miles of the coast, north and south of San Francisco. Last year, it was the third-most visited national park in the nation with 13.7 million visits, the National Park Service’sThe GGNRA had more visitors than some of the nation's most famous travel attractions, including the Grand Canyon National Park and Yellowstone National Park .
