An active storm track and cold temperatures have allowed parts of this mountain range to get buried by over 10 feet of snowfall in about a week. One example: Palisades Tahoe Ski ResortThe result: piles of snow so high the view out of windows is obscured; roofs looking like they are topped by a layered cake; and cliffs of snow hugging the sides of roads.Snow covers the view out of a 15-foot-tall window in the Lake Tahoe region.
