Phoenix Suns' Cameron Payne (finger sprain) and Cam Johnson (thumb sprain) won't return to Wednesday's preseason game versus L.A. Lakers in Las Vegas.
The Phoenix Suns will be without Cam Johnson and Cameron Payne for the remainder of Wednesday night's preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with injuries incurred in the first few minutes of play.
Payne suffered a right finger sprain after a minute of action, and then Johnson sprained his right thumb sprain after four minutes of play.The Suns came into the game without guard Josh Okogie, who will likely miss the entire preseason with a left hamstring strain. He didn't play in the preseason opener Phoenix lost to the Adelaide 36ers of Australia's NBL.
They've been without Jae Crowder as he and the Suns"mutually agreed" he wouldn't attend. The Suns have been trying to trade him. The Suns will play their third preseason game Monday at Denver and conclude preseason play next Wednesday at home against Sacramento. Phoenix opens the regular season Oct. 19 against Dallas in a rematch of the Western Conference semifinals the Mavericks won in seven games.
